This bunk bed is worth every penny! We researched bunk beds for several days and read hundreds of reviews and finally settled on this one. We selected the twin / full model in blue. We were a bit apprehensive about the quality as the price was so low. It arrived in perfect shape in a very large and heavy box. There were a couple of bags filled with a variety of hardware and clips. Assembly was not impossible, but it did take about 2 hours. My husband assembled it himself. Directions were decent, but you really have to pay attention and make sure you don’t accidentally install pieces upside down as you’ll deeply regret that if you have to undo it…..Once assembled, we were totally impressed. It is a sturdy and quiet frame. It doesn’t squeak and doesn’t shake or feel like it’s going to fall apart when someone climbs up the ladder. It does sway slightly, but it’s definitely heavy duty. Also, love the fact that the weight limit on top is 250 pounds and the full bunk on the bottom has a 400 pound weight limit. So if you are in need of a spare bed for an adult(s) this is a great option. The frame is well constructed and the powder coating is very nice. The price is cheap, but this is NOT a cheap piece of junk. We have had this set for almost 4 months with active grandsons using it on a regular basis. We did end up placing a sheeting of press board under each mattress. We bought inexpensive mattresses on Amazon as well. The set is attractive and comfortable. A great addition to our guest room. Highly recommend!
Easy to build, sturdy bunk beds.
This is a decent bed, decently sturdy, and cheap. It just took foooorever to put together. There's lots of screws and putting the slats in that the mattress sits on takes lots of time. I assembled by myself, but it would definitely be easier and faster with help. It isn't hard to assemble, just lots of parts. I would buy again. Do be aware that you will need to assemble this in the room you want it in. It won't fit through the door once it's assembled.
I’ve had this over a year now and it’s still sturdy. No squeaking. Perfect!
I'm reviewing this because amongst items one must assemble, this bunk, by far, had the clearest, best written instructions. The header says have a helper...I'm a senior with some joint issues and I live along. I had the box delivered to a room inside (well worth the few extra dollars...I would not have been able to manage this on my own. I opened it and laid out all the pieces...lots of them. The next day I began assembly. Each piece is well marked; the 'parts' kit is also well marked so no confusion on which bolts etc to use where. Working alone I did the side assemblies. I had a visitor at an appropriate time...I needed another pair of hands to attach the main rails so it would stand up. She assisted with holding one side while I attached the rail to the other and did two lower bolts that would have been difficult for me to reach. After that, I was solo again. The manual suggests 1-1/2 hours to completion; I likely took more like 7 or 8 over the course of a couple of days. In the end I had one question and called the company. Super service with virtually no wait for a customer support agent. The bed supports me well and I am not a light-weight. If I had any complaint it was only that the Amazon offer did not show alternate colors. My bunk is gray; given the option I would have picked their blue model. Regardless, this is well made, very sturdy, and looks just fine. Every single fitting was in the right place and in the odd situation, one person can do the assembly job.
I loved how easy it was to build and move. The bottom bunk and the top bunk have enough space and allow the kids to quit bonking their heads when they get out. It is pretty sturdy, the only issue I have with it is the creaking but we placed a foam pad under the mattresses to hug the metal bars and it has reduced the noise.
My son has been sleeping in a twin bunk since he was small. Now that he’s turning 13 and getting a new room, I thought it was time to upgrade his bed. My husband and I put this bed together ourselves within an hour to an hour and a half. The instructions were easy to understand and all tools are included. I love when they include the tools! I would definitely recommend this bed.
I share this bed with my toddler who sleeps on the bottom. Putting it together took quite a bit longer than I hoped, but the instructions were very clear and I didn't have to try to translate any poorly translated english, and after sleeping on it for several weeks, I can confidently say I'm not going to break it as an adult on the top bunk. It does shake so I have to get in bed slowly to not wake my daughter, but I've definitely been in much more precarious bunk beds so this one is pretty solid. All in all, good quality, I expect it to last many years, but I did lose quite a few layers of skin getting pinched by the bar spacers so maybe wear gloves. I'm also really glad I didn't have to have any tools to put it all together. I'd say it's worth the money and probably buy it again if I needed another.
The media could not be loaded. Love it did all of it by myself except for getting the side rails on which required 2 people to help. Took me3& 1/2 hours. Then I put LED lights on for my daughter. She loves it.
We bought one for each of our boys. They are both full size loft beds. The grey black and blue black. I bought 6" memory foam mattresses on Amazon to go with them. The boys love them. The grey one took my husband two hours to assemble. The blue one took me 3 hours to assemble. They are wobbly, but sturdy enough for a kid. I don't think it's going to fall over or anything crazy. It just moves a little. My 8 year old can sit up comfortably in his bed without his head hitting the ceiling. The blue one came with multiple paint scratches, but they're mostly hidden by the mattress or facing the wall. I understand why some people cut pool noodles for the ladders because they do hurt your feet when you climb. My boys don't mind, but personally I think it hurts and will probably put pool noodles on too. Their only complaint is that the dogs can't climb on the bed to snuggle. Lol.
