Our old bed frame was 30 years old, the center bar sagging and tipping over. Personally, I liked that, it was like a warm nest, but my wife, much lighter than I, hated it and begged for a new frame. So, off to Amazon if I wanted to be allowed to sleep that night. The assembly is easy UNLESS you're an old man who finds sitting on the floor painful in the hips. Top that with my already grumpy mood and it took some work. Anyone else would find it easy.We have the 14-inch frame. Had to ditch the box springs (my garage is getting full of stuff we won't ever use again, but someone won't let me throw them out).I hadn't realized what a mess our old frame was. This new frame was solid, flat, and strong. No sag, which took me getting used to. The big thing is that I'm a fidgety sleeper, making the whole bed shake. Also, I have a bladder like a peanut, so got up a lot at night, shimmying the old frame like belly dancer on crack. This new frame is a rock. It doesn't move when I fidget, or when I get out of bed. We have a firm mattress that this frame maximizes. We're also putting wood floor in, and the ability to move the bed without breaking the frame is a real plus. There are two drawbacks.1. The legs are at the corners and the middle instead of being offset under the bed. I knew my piggies were going to crash into it at some point, so I slipped some thick socks with holes in the heels over each leg and stuffed them with the bubble wrap the frame came with. Eventually, I'll get a pool noodle and slip it over each leg.2. No box springs means your sheet and blankets aren't going to stay tucked in. We'll have to get sheets of plywood or bunky boards to hold the sheet and blankets in place.Overall, I'm very glad we got this (wife is ecstatic). Change isn't always easy for us old folks, so another blanket thrown on and I'll be good.Excellent for the price.
Easy to build, about an hour or so. All the tools came with it. It's been about 3 weeks since we put the mattress on, so far so good. No noise and I love the hight off the floor. Definitely would recommend and buy it.
When you find out about quality control and quality of parts used is when you have to assemble something. This Haageep frame has excellent quality all around. Very easy to assemble, super sturdy and completely quiet. No squeaks at all. Just tighten the bolts as tight as you can. They won't strip. After installing this frame, my four-year-old mattress seems to have increased firmness. I got rid of my cheap foundation. And it makes it just the right height for me. This frame, I believe, will last well past anyone's lifetime. Oh, also: I took the suggestion of another reviewer and taped bubble wrap around the legs because I'm pretty bad about stubbing my toes on just about anything.Update 12/16: I have to add one more comment. I just happened to read the one-star reviews a few minutes ago and some talk about this frame breaking and being a piece of junk. They're either talking about another frame or they're shills from other companies. This frame is rated at 1600 lbs.
Ordered this for my college apartment and it’s been great. Assembly was quick and easy, and it is very sturdy. It’s tall enough that you can store quite a bit of stuff underneath as well. One thing to note: frame is a bit larger than a twin mattress, so my mattress tends to slide around a bit if I move around too much, and the corners of the frame protrude a bit, so need to be careful if walking around the edge of it. Overall does exactly the job I need it to do, I’ve been using it for 3 months and have had no issues!
I was a bit skeptical about purchasing a bed frame like this one from Amazon, but I feel like I definitely scored with this one! I bought it for my daughter, and she loves it. She has a small living space, and there’s plenty of room for storage underneath. The black finish on the metal was very evenly applied, so it was attractive as well as functional. The slat spacing is just wide enough that it doesn’t compromise the integrity of the mattress, so it’s easy to get a good night’s sleep on it. It was pretty easy to put together, and my daughter moved the box inside on her own. The weight is such that it was easy to move around, even after we placed the mattress on top. If you are contemplating this purchase, I say go for it!
Shipping/packaging was great. Assembly instructions very clear. Everything you need to assemble bed is inside the box. Easy to assemble and just took 20 minutes. This bed outshines similar models because the cross bars are slightly recessed so mattress stays in place nicely. Bed is strong and allows ample space for storing items underneath the bed.
This is really easiy to put together took maybe 20mins. Its taller than I expected put I still like it. But however the way they shipped it, it had a bunch of styrofoam inside some of the metal bars. Really sturdy
But for the fact that the description is correct, my my is it easy to set up very strong and sturdy did I mention affordable? No amount of turning and twisting was able to prove the description wrong, completely noiseless lots of steel slots makes my 20 inch very heavy mattress oh so comfortable also I really love the fact that there are holes to add a head and foot board well made I'm a woman and was able to lift the box myself my husband and I put it together in no time piece of cake I shipped it to Jamaica Island it was well packaged and protected from any damages. 100% recommended
Let me preface my review by saying that I initially purchased this frame in the full size and the assembly was simple. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same luck when I bought a second frame in the twin size. The assembly proceeded without a glitch until I tried to put the bolts through Part D. The bolt holes were misaligned by 0.5", making it impossible to insert a bolt into both sides. Rather than disassemble everything and try to fit all the parts back into the box to return, I ended up using a 12" zip tie. I threaded it through the misaligned holes on one side, and once the zip tie was tightened and Part D was tamped into place, the frame felt equally sturdy on both sides. How fortunate for you if you have a drill, the proper drill bits, and a handy boyfriend or husband, but I have none of those luxuries so I have to live by my wits.
Me gusto mucho y para armarla estuvo muy fácil
